Air-Filter Life System (AFLS) Disable Procedure

Some trucks require the factory AFLS to be disabled to avoid false Change Air Filter messages caused by the intake's higher flow rate:

1. On the Driver Information Center (DIC), open the Options menu and select Info Page Options.
2. Verify that Air Filter Life is checked (green).
3. Navigate to the Info section and choose Air Filter Life.
4. Select Disable (choices are Reset, Disable, Exit).
5. This turns off the change-filter reminder, which cannot calibrate to the new filter size and flow.
6. Disabling the alert has no adverse effect on vehicle operation.
