The HSP Diesel Cold Air Intake is a powerful upgrade for 2017-2019 L5P Duramax-equipped Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Designed to eliminate airflow restrictions, it helps your truck breathe better and perform at its peak.

The factory intake on the L5P Duramax engine is restrictive and undersized. It limits airflow, reducing performance and response. With the L5P platform offering high power potential from the factory, resolving airflow bottlenecks is essential. The HSP Cold Air Intake solves this problem with improved design and increased efficiency.

What Makes the HSP Cold Air Intake Different?

HSP's intake system is a full metal assembly featuring mandrel-bent tubing for smoother transitions and reduced turbulence. A large heatshield enclosure utilizes the OEM hood scoop for ram-air functionality, helping deliver colder, denser air. This results in improved throttle response, more consistent power, and increased overall performance — all without the need for tuning. Dyno testing has shown increases of up to 20 horsepower on average.

Special Note: Although L5P trucks from 2017-2023 share the same VIN code, this intake only fits the 2017-2019 models due to underhood design differences. Be sure to verify the 10th digit of your VIN to confirm model year.
